Greetings, I’ve set up a new page for the new project I have with Valencian musician Truna, we just got off a month long tour in Spain/France, one of the most grueling and tiring tours but definitely a privilege to be playing with a musician such as him almost every night!

Taken from the published piece in the ISEA 2010 Conference Proceedings: What follows is a condensed run through of the various processes that have directed my research and practice over the past years, in search for my own narrative in relation to my sound/performance practice and the sounds of the post-folk.
Times have been absolutely mad these past months. I have recently tried to relocate to Granada Spain, I ‘bought’ a Cave with my partner and were supposed to move The UnifiedField experimental art space from Yogyakarta Indonesia to here.
UK contemporary music magazine The Wire wrote an article on The UnifiedField this month (Aug 2010) in their Global Ear section and spoke at briefly about the work of One Man Nation.
So I have set up a vimeo page for The UnifiedField space and collective and uploaded most of the events that have happened until now including the latest One Man Nation performance there.
Sunday the 02nd of May I will be presenting and performing as One Man Nation in Singapore at the Rooted In The Ephemeral Speak (RITES) … in August, One Man Nation has been invited to perform and present The UnifiedField collective/space and The Future Sounds Of Folk at ISEA Ruhr 2010 in Dortmund.
Finally after much designing and re-designing as I am such a hopeless website creator, the site for The Future Sounds Of Folk is finally up and it definitely looks better than this OMN site! I’m jealous!
For the lack of updates recently has been largely due to being in Jogjakarta starting up and co-directing The UnifiedField collective and art space with Marta Moreno Munoz.

So I am proud to present the first video documentation of a performance I did with multi-instrumentalist Jimbot, he was playing the Kendang, Suling and the Bonang. This is just the end of the concert, I can at this point in time only capture video limited to 3 minutes, so if you want more, please tell me!
Read more about the time in Bandung here in the previous post:
Greetings friends, A little update, have been in Indonesia since the beginning of the year, initially in Jogjakarta, then in Bandung the past week and a half, before heading back this weekend to Jogjakarta where I’ll be based till maybe June this year. The time in Indonesia has been extremely fruitful. Spent the first couple [...]
In less than 24 hours, I say goodbye to Rotterdam and Europe to Asia for half a year at least. The next 6-7 months I will be in India, Indonesia and Indochina, searching and researching for the exhaustive work of Taam Ming: Music Of The Post-Human Future Folk.
Grts all, Finished up some new tracks for next years release, yes it has been pushed to next year as the rest of my year is pretty packed. Come August, I’ll be in Gijon for the SummerLAB in Laboral, no idea what to expect but its always nice to be in Gijon so I’m not [...]
Part of the Spectral Magnetic Ghost series of re-contextualized gamelan compositions, took awhile to get around to get off the ground, so here it is the initial lift off! The project is in its infancy, a collaboration I have with Soopa Collective (PT) and Steim (NL), Spectral Magnetic Ghosts approaches the ghostly under-tones of traditional [...]
Korg MS20 …
Greetings, So the time has come and the time is now, for all the fun to end. Thursday, Den Haag saw the last concert I had with Dave Phillips and C-utter left a day before that. Suffering from post-touring trauma at the moment, it has been an incredible month and it will take a full [...]
After the grueling tour through Germany, Czech Rep, Hungary and Austria, I have been home for a couple of days recovering from exhaustion before heading off again this Friday for a tour with noise guru Dave Phillips and Barcelona darkest ambient duo C-utter!
The latest print edition issue of Italian media magazine Neural has published the previous web review of the Bufferrrbreakkkdownnn Arkestra in the E-Music section (Issue 32)! For those of you that don’t know of this magazine, it was started in 1993 by Alessandro Ludovico as an Italian only publication for both analog and digital mediums [...]
The story behind is written story is somehow always more interesting. The processes involved forms the road map of the mind (and sometimes beyond that) of the author, an open book so to speak, the window to the soul. In describing the journey I have taken so far, I hope to transmit better the idea that what is summed up normally as a conclusion in a paragraph long press release, album sleeve note or a book length graduation thesis, is merely surface scratching at best. This is a story of a mind in constant flux during a certain period of creative explosion.
So 2009 has brought much clarity contrary to the current climate of uncertainty. The rest of my year is more or less planned out and lots of wonderfully shocking surprises await.
Back from the wonderful Make Art (free libre open-source software – FLOSS) festival in Poitier organizes my the equally wonderful collective Goto10 and on the way to another weekend of Floss-ing in Bergen Norway at Piksel. So its been absolutely crazy these past months. The site has seen some welcome additions with a page dedicated [...]
