Taken from the published piece in the ISEA 2010 Conference Proceedings: What follows is a condensed run through of the various processes that have directed my research and practice over the past years, in search for my own narrative in relation to my sound/performance practice and the sounds of the post-folk.
Times have been absolutely mad these past months. I have recently tried to relocate to Granada Spain, I ‘bought’ a Cave with my partner and were supposed to move The UnifiedField experimental art space from Yogyakarta Indonesia to here.
UK contemporary music magazine The Wire wrote an article on The UnifiedField this month (Aug 2010) in their Global Ear section and spoke at briefly about the work of One Man Nation.
Finally after much designing and re-designing as I am such a hopeless website creator, the site for The Future Sounds Of Folk is finally up and it definitely looks better than this OMN site! I’m jealous!
